Device List
This window shows a list of all devices currently loaded. Pressing DEL to any of the devices will remove them from the list, unload them and cancel all links to them.
Note that most-useful devices (ASIO,VST,MIDI) are shown in the Device Bay in the Track Manager and the right-click menus are the same there.
When the number of devices is over 15, TP switches to "list mode" to preserve space.
- ASIO drivers
- Double clicking this shows an optional ASIO properties dialog box which your driver provides to configure it.
- VST plugins
- Double clicking this shows the VST Editor window.
Hint: Hold down SHIFT in order to open the VST editor in a separated thread. This will help you manipulate a badly written VST that otherwise would block TP.
Right click to this to:
- Configure the VST (Similar to the double click)
- Process VST Freezing (See VST for more)
- Mark or unmark the VST as favorite.
- MIDI drivers
- NET devices
- MME devices
- Double click in these shows the Windows mixer (if any) for this device.
- Joysticks
- DirectX effects
- Double click in this shows the configuration dialog of a DirectX effect, if any.
In addition, the following are available by right-clicking the drivers:
- ASIO
- Configure the driver.
- Allows you to analyze the driver, showing supported Sample Rates/ Buffer Sizes, Clock configurations, Port I/O testing and more.
- Allows you to replace the currently loaded ASIO driver with another one at runtime.
- Change Parameters (Sample Rate, Buffer Size, Clock Source) at runtime.
- VST plugins
- Configure the plugin
- Set favorite status
- Duplicate its instance
- Freeze Options
- MIDI drivers
- Replace the driver with another driver at runtime
- Send a message (midi out)
- Test output and input of the driver
