Track Manager Popup Menu
File Menu
This menu provides file and TP manipulation functions.
- New Project
Starts a new project.
- New Project from template
Loads a previously saved (as template) project
- Delete a Project template
Deletes a previously saved (as template) project
- Open Project
Opens an existing project (TP file).
- Save Project
Saves the loaded project.
- Save Project as...
Saves the loaded project with a different name.
Note: Track files are not duplicated, that is, the newly saved project points to the same track files as the old project.
- Save as encrypted project...
Saves the loaded project as an encrypted project. A password will be requested.
Note: Losing the password automatically renders the encrypted project file useless, as passwords cannot be recovered.
- Export Portable Project
Combines all necessary project files and tracks into a single ZIP file.
Note: Doing this for a large project will result in a very big zip file which will take a lot of time to be created.
Note: VSTs needed by the project are not included.
- Save and Close Project
Saves then closes the project.
- Discard Project
Discards the project without saving it.
- Restart with low integrity level (Windows Vista or 7 only)
Restarts TP in "low" integrity mode, useful to control possibly corrupt/virus VST plugins.
- Restart as administrator
Restarts TP in "high" integrity mode, useful access files with required privileges or when updating Turbo Play.
- Exit
Exits TP.
A list of the most recent projects is also added at the end of the menu.
Edit Menu
This menu contains the standard undo/redo functions, commands to disable undo/redo or clear undo/redo history, and the "Last Command" menu which re-executes the command you just sent.
Note: The undo/redo functions in the edit menu apply to the selected tracks only. It is recommended instead to use the undo/redo per track. For more, see the Track Manager.
The edit menu also includes the Track,View and Part submenus.
Track Menu
The track menu contains commands for tracks. For more on this menu, see the Track Manager.
View Menu
The view menu shows or hides various TP windows:
Part Menu
The track menu contains commands for track parts. For more on this menu, see the Track Manager.
Transrpoter Menu
The transporter menu contains commands for the transporter. For more on this menu, see the Transporter.
Devices Menu
The devices menu allows devices to be loaded (for more, see devices). See the device list for the list of the devices that are loaded. In addition, the devices menu allows to configure resampling and shared mixers.
Selecting also "Save Loaded Devices" and "Reset State" allows you to save the loaded hardware devices (ASIO, MIDI, MME,JOYSTICK) to be loaded automatically when TP starts next time, or reset this saved state.
Sound Files Menu
This menu allows you to import or export sound files.
- Import Midi File
Imports a midi file. TP can read both single-track and multi-track midi files (for more see file types). All tracks are added to the track manager.
- Import Audio File
Imports an audio file. TP can read various forms of audio files (for more see file types). All channels are added to the track manager as single tracks.
- Import Audio from Video file
Imports the audio from a video file. TP can import any video file, as long as the relative codec for the video/audio subsystem in the file is installed.
- Import Audio from CD Rom
This allows you to extract the audio from an audio CD. Turbo Play asks you which tracks to rip.
- Export selected tracks to MIDI
Exports the tracks you have selected into a MIDI file.
- Export selected tracks to Audio
Exports the tracks you have selected into an AUDIO file.
CD Master Menu
The CD Master menu allows you to manipulate your CD-R and write tracks to it. For more, see CD Recording.
Midi Menu
This menu has two functions:
Audio Menu
This menu has commands for audio Effects to be applied to tracks. For more, see Audio Effects.
Tools Menu
This menu performs the following 4 functions:
- Check for updates
Checks if a new TP version is uplodated. In such case, TP prompts you for downloading, and if you say yes, it downloads and installs the new files automatically.
Note: In pre-release versions TP checks for updates automatically each time it is started.
- Hide to icon
Hides TP to the tray icon. Double click the icon to restore TP.
- Top/Untop current Window
Marks/Unmarks the currently visible (focus) window as always on top.
- Debug functions
These functions are there for the author to test or debug TP features. You should only mess with these if you are requested by the author or if you participate in a beta-testing program.
Scripts Menu
This menu contains functions relative to scripts. For more, see the Script Explorer.
Options Menu
This menu contains functions to configure TP.For more, see Options.
Help Menu
This menu has the following functions:
- Help index
Opens this manual.
- Support Forum
Goes to the TurboIRC.COM Turbo Play support forum.
- Request Remote Assistance
Requests remote assistance from the author (For more, see Remote Assistance) .
- End Remote Assistance
Terminates a remote assistance session or invitation.
- About Turbo Play...
Displays an about box.
Track Manager Popup Menu
