Sample Project: Simple Takes Setup

Takes are useful when you want to record many times a specific region until you find the recording you like more. Here is a simple setup of such a project:

Then arm the track for recording and start recording. When the loop region ends (4 seconds), a new take will be created, then the sequencer will jump back to second 2, allowing you to record again. This will be done indefinitely until you manually stop it with Esc.

Now set the track in playing mode, and via the Takes button you can select to hear one of your recorded regions.
